Vacu-Armor represents the extreme frontier of super insulation materials. Manufactured at our Fujian production base and engineered globally by Hebei Woqin, this heavy-duty Vacuum Insulation Panel (VIP) replaces vulnerable plastic barrier films with laser-welded 304 stainless steel encapsulation.
The result? An indestructible thermal shield delivering a 0.002 W/m.K thermal conductivity, a true Class A1 fireproof rating, and an unprecedented 50-year lifespan. Designed exclusively for Passive House façades, rigorous architectural safety standards, and extreme industrial environments.
Description
As the Authorized Global Engineering & Export Division for our world-class Fujian manufacturing base, Hebei Woqin proudly introduces the Vacu-Armor Stainless Steel VIP.
Traditional VIPs face three critical challenges in construction: vulnerability to puncturing on-site, degradation over time (15-20 years), and strict fire safety limitations. Vacu-Armor eliminates all three. By encasing our premium fumed silica core in 0.1mm SU304 stainless steel via high-precision laser welding, we have created a permanent, zero-permeability thermal barrier.
Absolute Zero Permeability (50-Year Lifespan): Unlike plastic barrier films that slowly leak over time, stainless steel is absolutely impermeable. This guarantees the vacuum state and extreme thermal performance will last for decades, matching the lifespan of the building.
Class A1 Non-Combustible: With a total combustion heat value of 0 MJ/kg, Vacu-Armor provides ultimate fire safety for high-rise buildings and public infrastructure, easily passing stringent European and international fire codes.
Extreme Mechanical Durability: Features a puncture strength of 79N and remarkable compressive strength, eliminating the "fragility" problem during construction site handling.
Acoustic Insulation Bonus: The heavy steel encapsulation and vacuum core inherently provide excellent airborne sound insulation (up to 36dB), ideal for urban Passive Houses.
Tested and verified by the National Center of Quality Inspection and Testing for Building Energy Conservation & Sichuan Fire Research Institute:

(Patent Application for Breathing Micro-Channel & Thermal-Break Cap VIP Anchoring System)
The biggest hurdle for architects using VIPs is installation—you cannot drill through a vacuum panel. To solve this, our engineering team has developed a revolutionary, patent-pending mechanical anchoring system specifically designed for Vacu-Armor:
Cross-Flange Clamping (No Drilling): The system uses a cross-shaped thermal-break anchor pad that securely presses down on the stainless steel flange edges of four adjacent panels. The VIP itself is never punctured.
Thermal-Break Cap (No Cold Bridges): The anchoring bolts are covered with an edge-insulation thermal break cap, eliminating the classic "cold bridge" effect caused by metal fasteners.
Breathing Micro-Channels: We utilize a specific structural adhesive layout to create a 3mm - 5mm micro-gap between the VIP and the substrate wall. This critical European-standard feature acts as a "breathing channel," allowing interior wall moisture to diffuse outward, completely preventing condensation and mold.
Passive House & Zero-Energy Buildings: Exterior walls, roof systems, and floor heating layers where maximum R-value and minimum thickness are demanded.
High-Rise Façades & Curtain Walls: Upgrading thermal performance while strictly complying with A1 fire safety regulations.
Heavy Industry & High-Value Equipment: Thermal protection for extreme environments requiring extreme physical durability and puncture resistance.
Q: Can Vacu-Armor panels be cut or trimmed on the construction site?
A: No. Like all true Vacuum Insulation Panels, any cutting or drilling will puncture the 304 stainless steel encapsulation, destroying the absolute vacuum and significantly reducing its thermal performance. However, Hebei Woqin offers 100% custom manufacturing. Based on your architectural CAD drawings, we pre-manufacture exact dimensions and complex shapes at our Fujian base, ensuring a perfect "plug-and-play" installation on-site.
Q: Will the stainless steel encapsulation make the panel too heavy for curtain walls?
A: Not at all. We utilize ultra-thin, high-strength 0.1mm SU304 stainless steel. The areal density is only about 9.2 kg/m² (for a 20mm thick panel). It is exceptionally lightweight compared to traditional masonry or thick fireproof boards, making it perfectly suited for weight-sensitive high-rise facades and curtain wall systems.
Q: Does the stainless steel edge create a "thermal bridge" (Cold Bridge)?
A: Standard metal edges can conduct heat, but our engineering team has solved this. First, the 0.1mm extreme thinness of the steel minimizes the conduction cross-section. Second, our Patent-Pending Anchoring System utilizes cross-flange clamping with specialized Thermal-Break Caps over the joints, effectively neutralizing edge thermal bridging and ensuring the overall U-value of your wall remains uncompromised.
Q: What is the difference between standard VIPs and Vacu-Armor?
A: Standard VIPs use aluminum or plastic barrier films. While excellent for appliances or temporary cold chains, plastic films slowly permit gas permeation over time (usually degrading after 15 years) and are highly vulnerable to fire. Vacu-Armor uses laser-welded stainless steel, achieving absolute zero permeability for a 50-year lifespan and delivering a true Class A1 Fireproof performance for strict building codes.
