One of the more rewarding shipments from our Hebei facility was to a high-end fireproof door maker in Saudi Arabia—they were hunting for a core material that boosted sound insulation without adding weight or compromising safety. After initial samples in mid-2025, they ran full tests with our PET aerogel panels.
The setup: Perforated steel faces, aluminum honeycomb, damping layers, and our panels as fill. Adhesion on MDF and chipboard held strong with standard glues, no delamination in heat cycles up to 200°C. Fire rating stayed A1 non-combustible, and the hydrophobic nature kept moisture out in humid storage tests.
Outcome: Overall door STC hit 45-48 easily, meeting their premium series specs. Production liked the easy cut and light weight—trimmed assembly time versus denser fills. After months, they noted stable performance without sagging, a common issue they'd seen before.
